everyone loves to remind me that she looks just like her dad. birth was so traumatic. I almost died. and it just hurts to feel like they dont see any of me in her. maybe that's selfish.. idk..

Its so crazy cause its my own family !! His grandma on his dads side is always pointing out similarities i have with him. He definitely looks like his dad but it sucks cuz whnever i say he looks like me, my mom jumps to disagree.

My favorite thing to do is when I see a baby with their parents, or just mom, and say “OH MY GOSH [baby] looks just like mom!” and point out little details how baby could possibly look like mom. Baby could have a literal picture of dad’s face glued to its face and I will say baby looks like mom. 🥰

My MIL kept saying my baby got his blue eyes from her grandfather. Mind you. I have hazel green eyes. My eyes were blue as a baby. They change over time and I kept telling her his eyes will change color. She kept denying and said his eyes are definitely blue bc of her grandfather. He’s almost one and guess what. They’re turning hazel green.

I was at my OB’s office for a postpartum visit when my son was a month old. I had just been diagnosed with PPD/PPA and the nurse looks me dead in the eye and goes “wow, he looks nothing like you! Are you sure he’s your child? Haha!” ….I promptly burst into tears.
