I know this isn’t necessarily my conversation, but I also want to add that a lot of people don’t notice. Sometimes I’ll be describing someone to someone else and they’ll say something like, “oh are they the bigger one?” And it’ll genuinely catch me off guard because it’s not something I consciously clocked. Same thing with acne too.

I also think it can be really confusing to understand how others perceive you when your body is changing constantly as a woman. Period pregnancy postpartum mom stress just regular hormones… Feeling different in my body every day makes me forget that people probably perceive me pretty much the same day to day.

The “everyone knows what you look like, you’re not fooling anyone” notion broke my brain in the best way. It led me to choosing my dream wedding dress that happens to be strapless and it encouraged me to not add sleeves that would only add too much material and distract from the design. It was so freeing!!! No one who loves me cares what my arms look like so I bought the dang dress and I can’t wait to wear it!
