I never thought I would have to write something like this, but I think it’s time I finally say what has been going on behind the screen. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided that I’m going to be stepping away from this account and quit editing. This account has been such a huge part of my life for the past year, and walking away from something that I built with so much love is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. To everyone who has been here aka my mutuals, my friends, and every single person who has followed me, liked my edits, commented, shared my work, or hyped me up when I needed it, thank you. Truly. You have no idea how much this little corner of the internet has meant to me. Editing was never just about making videos. It was an escape. It was a place where I could create, express myself, and forget about everything else for a little while. Seeing people enjoy something I made will always be something I’m grateful for. But lately, life has become something I can’t keep pretending is okay. I’ve spent the past several days posting like normal, making edits, replying to comments, and acting like everything was fine. I kept showing up because this account has always been a place of happiness for me. My life has changed a lot recently, and I’ve been carrying more than I ever expected to. My mom went into a mental health facility on Saturday, and she is now being transferred to a long-term facility to continue getting the help and support she needs. This has been one of the hardest things my family and I have ever had to face. My mom has always been the one person who truly understood me. She was the person who knew how to calm my anxiety, who could tell when I wasn’t okay even when I tried to hide it, and who made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Having her not here has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through. I’m trying to be strong, but it has been incredibly hard learning how to handle my anxiety and everything happening without the person who always helped me through it. There’s so much more that goes into play as well, but it’s too personal to share. My life is quite literally falling apart. Mental health is something people don’t always see. You can’t always see the battles someone is fighting. Sometimes the strongest people are the ones silently trying to survive another day. Right now, I need to be there for my family. I have to step up and take on responsibilities that my mom would’ve. I need time to process everything, to help where I’m needed, and to focus on the people I love. I’ve realized that I can’t keep pouring from an empty cup. This account has given me so many beautiful memories, and I don’t want my last words here to only be sadness. I want them to be gratitude. Thank you to my mutuals who became friends, to the people who supported me from the beginning, and to everyone who made this journey something I’ll never forget. I hope you all know that behind every edit was a real person who cared deeply. This account was a piece of me, and leaving it behind hurts. Please take care of yourselves. Check on your family and friends. Be kind to people because you never truly know what someone is carrying behind their smile. Mental health is not something to be ashamed of. Asking for help is not weakness. Sometimes choosing to heal is the bravest thing someone can do. Thank you for being a part of my life. Thank you for giving me a place to belong. I’ll forever be grateful for the memories, the friendships, and the love this account brought me. So this is goodbye forever. - #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness
