they're confusing cats with dogs. dogs are den animals, so they LOVEEE cozy kennels that they can make into a den! cats are nesting animals, so they love free roaming and having a high up, cozy place they can make into a nest. it feels safer to them

We close the bedroom door at night, we also have a bedtime routine that involves some play, then treats then lights off, that tells them, "The humans are going to bed, quiet time!" works pretty well for us
