@herbswithjen: Gut Health Oxymel Five herbs. Raw honey. Apple cider vinegar. This is what medicine looked like before the pharmacy existed. What’s in it and why it works (for a 10 oz jar): -Fresh Peppermint — 2–3 tbsp, loosely packed Relaxes the gut lining, kills bloating and cramping at the root -Fresh Turmeric — 1–2 tbsp, thinly sliced Heals the gut wall from the inside out — systemic inflammation doesn’t stand a chance -Fresh Garlic — 2–3 cloves, lightly crushed Nature’s antimicrobial — clears bad bacteria without nuking your whole microbiome -Fresh Ginger — 1–2 tbsp, thinly sliced Moves stagnation, kills nausea, restores digestion -Marshmallow Root — 1 tbsp dried Coats and soothes the entire gut lining — non-negotiable for leaky gut, IBD, or chronic inflammation The liquid base: • 5oz raw apple cider vinegar — goes in first • 5 oz raw honey — pour over ACV, How to make it: Pack in herbs, Add ACV first, honey second, stir to blend, make sure everything is fully submerged, cap tight, shake daily, store in a cool dark place for 4 weeks, strain, bottle, label. Store in fridge for 3-6 months! I like to use unbleached parchment paper to avoid metal cap from rusting, it prevents any foreign substances from getting into the oxymel. Dose: 1–2 tbsp daily (take with a pinch of black pepper for maximum absorption for turmeric) Sensitive stomach — take right after a light meal No issues — take 15–20 minutes before eating for maximum absorption This is what your great-grandmother reached for before anyone told her it wasn’t real medicine. “He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man.” — Psalm 104:14 Save this. Share it. Make it. Tell me how it goes! . . #herbalremedies #christianherbalist #guthealth #fyp #oxymel

Looking forward to making this! I’ll just substitute the marshmallow root with slippery elm since that’s what I have on hand as a mucilage ❤️❤️❤️
