my camera was pressed up against something in my bag and ended up like this and idk how to fix it. I tried using a safety pin to clear out the debris but there’s nothing there :/

Mine just did this!!! I had to send it into canon for repairs! I kept pushing it up to take photos and it fell off the hinges and broke! So be careful with that and scratching the lens 😭😭

This right here, my tripod tipped over in the sand and it got all in the lens, in the case and everything. Ordered this immediately and used every-single thing in there until it opened regularly.Try not to use it until you can clean it, it just pushes whatever is stuck in it even deeper.

do you have like an air spray? maybe that’ll dislodge the sand. i’ve had the same issue and it cleared the debris out & now my lens is normal again

Mine did this. It just had a little sand stuck in the lens. I used a toothpick and got it out, and it went back to normal.

This happens to my camera randomly. I literally use my nails / finger to gently push the lens cover open and it always springs back to normal / closed.

Get a powder brush and turn the camera facing the floor and brush the lens shake camera to remove any stuck sand

I put mine in a bag and got some food on it and it was stuck like that, but I low-key just adjust the camera every time. I just push it up.

i mean if u have a trip soon you can just like push the lens cover and ur camera should work fine but like after u get back from ur trip definitely take it to get it fixed

mine is like this and i was quoted $600 to have it fixed. i used something small and pointy to bring the other side of the lens back down which works but when i turn on the camera to use it, it stays stuck again so i gave up and left it that way months later. still takes pics perfectly fine, just annoying to look at 🥲
