I have the Solomon’s and it’s true what everyone is saying - not for serious hikes. Great for lifestyle walks.

My fav is the keen jasper zionic! I have them in a beige color way they are so comfortable I can wear them all day. Taken on over 30 diff trails almost 100 miles and they’ve worked every time. They grip, are lightweight, super comfortable and go with every outfit. If you have an REI around you I would go and try styles on that’s how I found these. I tried Salomon’s ( too strong of an inside arch for me) Merrell’s (liked but were heavy and Bulky)

Idk why you’re asking the internet because the best hiking shoe is the one that you try on and fits your foot, and also your specific terrain needs.

The XT6 are met to be used more as a city / lifestyle shoe more so vs than actual trail runners. I have them and hate them for trails, their dedicated trail runners are great tho

Not sure if you’re open to others, but I have the Merrell MTL Adapt Matryx sneakers and love them. Only down side is not waterproof :(

the salomon’s will have a “grounded” feel where there’s not a lot of support nor cushion and that’s why people complain about their feet aching. would not be good for even your average trail terrain considering this. super cute tho!

I like Salomon bc I’m lazy for the slip on/quick laces & I take my shoes off every time I take a hiking break

Depends on the hike your doing as these are not a full ankle boot.

Buy a shoe that fits your foot well, not necessarily what is popular.

I have saucony trail runners and they’ve never failed me! I def recommend trying them on in person over picking online. :)

None of them. Especially Solomon because of their design flaw.

I have the salomons and keens and found that I hated the salomons hiking because they rubbed on my ankle bone and made it sore. The keens however were very comfy and a little more low profile which I prefer.
