I think someone being deeply insecure isn't an issue as long as its not being projected onto others, I think if they are saying things that hurt you because of that that's a different story. As someone who was and is deeply insecure I try my hardest not too project anything outward what so ever. The only times I talk about anything regarding self esteem is when prompted to. I don't believe someone being insecure is a red flag in it self, however I do think,they way they go about it can be.

Aside from the serious and obvious red flags, one to me is time blindness. If someone is constantly late, casually walks through life not caring about time or other people’s schedules, immediate red flag to me.

Blunt does not equate to rudeness. I bluntly compliment my friends and family frequently and don’t see the point in wasting time with word salads that don’t mean anything. Say what you mean or say nothing at all - expecting someone else to imply what you infer is exhausting to navigate.
