Absolutely No! Accountability goes both ways! Now parents need to be mature about how they parent and think we get caught in the moment and sometimes handle things at the kids level because we’re not slow to anger, kids have choices on how they treat their parents!

I never thought about Adam and Eve having perfect parents! And they still chose sin

I’ve always said it’s the parents responsibility to build that bridge! I’ve been entrusted with my kids, I raise them in all of my own imperfections to know the Lord, and they have free will just as all of us too to live their lives how they want. Trusting God with their lives, loving and supporting them and letting them live their lives.

Placing our personal value on our kids actions is wild! When my kids became adults I handed them back to God! Testimony 👏

As a parent of 6 adult kids with families of their own ( many who are now young adults also), I agree with a lot of this unfortunately. Our children don’t want to hear what we’ve been through, they’re not going to listen. They basically are going to experience it, make bad choices just like we did as parents,& we have to let them! This is how they learn. Just like when they were young. We can’t fix things for them. Their lives are their own. And it’s definitely up to us to hold the relationship together- that being said, addictions, abuse & many other traumas come into play. Everyone has a boundary
