there is 0% chance that little trailer is carrying 10,000 lbs. that's like 8 times their capacity. also, uhauls don't need all that much paperwork - this idea that everything was 'stamped' etc is BS. cop needs either a warrant or probable cause to get inside that trailer. whatever this 'question' was, it is highly unlikely it was enough to justify them cutting the lock off a trailer for a search.
