United pilot for 30 yrs. So many first class passengers gave me their used glasses etc. when I was on break- smdh

my favorite are the gate agents when I'm trying to jump seat. you're looking at my badge that says violet. you're looking at my profile that says pilot. you see us all day everyday. you see the four stripes on my shoulders. and still you don't get it

I had a pax that needed a wheel chair so I was talking keeping him company while they took forever to get him one. And at the end he goes “your so sweet what is it that you do” my FA laughs his ass off and goes “she flew you here” mind you I have my tie on, my hair up in a pony so my epaulettes are on FULL SHOW. 40 minutes of trying to be kind cause I felt horrible that his wheel chair was taking so long and this is the thanks I get. 😂😂

More than once I’ve mistaken a female cockpit crewmember for a FA. Usually because I’m already in my seat and they come in behind me.
