I'm sorry but I disagree with you. you could be both a parent and a friend at the same time. the Lord calls us his children and his friends. yes, we need to teach your kids about respect and healthy fear but at the same time we need to have a friendship with their children that they could come to us in full of confidence and not be afraid of us. says so in Hebrews that we come to the Lord and full confidence because he's the high priest. and there's various parts in the Bible where he calls us as friends. yes he is our father but he's also a friend. We can do the same as parents.

Okay so after seeing your video, I asked my 10 yr old son. He laughed and said ‘NO’ 😃😃 Then I asked him if he’s afraid of his Dad and he said ‘Yes, sometimes’ and so I asked him why and he said ‘because of Daddy’s voice’ ☺️☺️💛 I’d love to hear your opinion on that. I really thought that he’s afraid of me sometimes too… But he said “No” and he laughed and went right back to playing with his WWE toys. 😃

No, my kids are not going to fear me. They’re going to know that they can come to me with anything and not be scared too. They will know that they’re not going to disrespect me nor will I disrespect them because they have every right to their feelings and reactions just the way I do they’re human and I’m going to raise them to be better than I was but they are not going to fear me
