I’m very interested in CATH lab or IR. The thought of knowing exactly what procedure you’re gonna do and having it set up to precise specifications makes me excited and calms my nerves. Also working with the technology I think is amazing. During the last day of my clinicals in first semester, I was in the IR lab. I got to watch them set up, prepare and do a new port for a dialysis patient. All the technology was crazy. Got to watch the rad tech use her machine while inserting the New port in the patient’s chest was fascinating and exciting.

Honestly it’s a matter often you get called is what makes the lab. My lab has long days and rare overnight STEMI calls. But like i always say. The universe gonna let you know whether you need more sleep or more money. 🤷🏽♂️. Either way you good

I truly enjoy being in the dungeon instead of constant patient interaction. Cath Lab is just a different vibe completely. Money is absolutely amazing but call ain’t it. 😩

Cath lab. Grew up with my dad bringing me in and they gave me a soda and some snacks and I watched the procedures with the guys at the desk and I love the memories from it. I would love to end up in the cath lab.
