@genuinelyarabic: According to a whole bunch of comments from different videos apparently the static is a fax machine and it sounds like that because a copper wire is broken or something? If anyone got any information on what this is please tell me in the comments #creatorsearchinsights #newaccountontiktok #creepy #techtok #phone
ok so i actually looked into this and it’s not haunted, it’s just old tech. peoria state hospital shut down in 1978 and got torn down, but here’s the thing: the phone company never officially killed the line. the old copper wire is still sitting underground, connected to the network. so when you dial it, a modern digital system tries to reach a cable that’s been dead and rusting for 40+ years. the signal hits the broken wire, has nowhere to go, bounces around, and picks up random interference from cell towers nearby. that creepy “binary” whisper everyone hears? that’s just the digital network choking on analog noise it can’t understand. nobody’s fixed it because the line is isolated and harmless, and honestly nobody even remembers it. Taken from somebody else’s comment

for the people who just want the shortened version.
there's still a wire underground connected after 40+ years, the phone company never shut it down, and the signal just bounces around through the wire and pick up random interference from random cell towers. the noise is just shit the network can't understand.

The whispering is a computer stating out the binary code, which helps to store information and the glitching is a broken fax machine

long story short to summarize the asylum was took down but they never took down the phone line so whenever someone calls it the signal js tweaks out and the whispers are the wire communicating to the towers nearby

every copper wire thing everyone said is fake, its clearly prerecorded since the noise is always the same, if it really was some copper wire that corroded then it would be random noise every time. and the number was registered from the carrier bandwidth so its just some setup for a creepypasta
