I heard each one is able to curate its selection on its own. I have 2 within 20 minutes of me and thier selections are very different. We have a third opening closer and I am excited to go to it.

nah guys are totally allowed in the romance section as long as they aren't creepy about it. the last guy I found in the romance section was teying to figure out which of the alliance series books his wife still needed and I helped him figure it out. then we stood there and talked for like half an hour and I gave him a bunch of recs to give to his wife. he had notes open and everything. it was fun!

I live in a conservative area. my b&n has one singular shelving unit of romance. the vast majority of the store is either random assortment of mystery and other fiction, or non-fiction and biographies 😭

Your Barnes and noble is weird. I went to one yesterday and they still had a good Sci. Fi, Fantasy, YA, Fiction and nonfiction sections just like they used to. Like don't get me wrong, I like Romance but I am a huge Fantasy girl as well so I would be upset if they didnt have my Fantasy Sci Fi section

I love Barnes & Noble, but I always spend way too much money there. I tell myself I'll get one book, and I walk out with half a dozen books, a Funko, and a 500 piece puzzle of a Basquiat painting.
