cadbury caramel stuffed cookies🤎🍪    recipe:  
¾ cup browned salted butter (170g)
¾ cup brown sugar (150g)
¼ cup granulated sugar (50g)
1 large egg
1 tbsp heavy cream (15g)
1 tsp vanilla (5g)
2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
2 tbsp cornstarch (16g)
½ tsp baking soda (3g)
¼ tsp salt (1.5g)
dark chocolate chips (measure with your heart)
cadbury carmelo bars
frozen caramel pieces 
for the caramel: 
1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
6 tbsp butter (85g)
½ cup warm heavy cream (120g)
1 tsp vanilla (5g)
flaky salt, to taste 
add the sugar to a saucepan over medium heat and cook until melted and amber in color.
whisk in the butter until smooth.
then slowly pour in the warm heavy cream while whisking.
remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and flaky salt.
transfer to a container and chill until firm enough to scoop.
freeze tablespoon-sized portions of caramel.  
in a bowl whisk together the warm (not hot ) browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until glossy.
add the egg, heavy cream, and vanilla and whisk until smooth.
fold in the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
fold in the dark chocolate chips.
scoop the cookie dough and flatten slightly.
place a frozen caramel piece in the center and a piece of cadbury caramello on top.
seal the dough completely around the filling and shape into tall cone-like cookie dough balls. (this helps keep the cookies thick while baking.) 
bake at 375f until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
because of the caramel filling, the cookies may spread a little more than usual. make sure the dough is sealed well around the filling and but DONT worry if they spread!! 
while the cookies are still warm, use a cookie cutter, cup, or round cookie shaper to gently shape them back into perfect circles. 
 optional: let the cookies cool a bit then pour melted dark chocolate on a lined cookie sheet and place the cookie on top, let cool until chocolate is hardened then top with a caramello and drizzle with warm caramel, let the cookies set a bit before enjoying :)  #caramel #chocolatechipcookies #cookies #Recipe #baking
