I love this ship so much, but I think the author made Naruto end up with Hinata because Hinata is a dōjutsu (Byakugan) user. If they had made Naruto end up with Sakura, their children wouldn't have inherited any dōjutsu. Meanwhile, the author paired Sasuke with Sakura so they would have descendants who could inherit the Uchiha clan's dōjutsu (Sharingan). These couples were formed for the Boruto project. I prefer Naruto and his friends didn't end up in romantic relationships. I still want to see them having fun completing their mission together, especially team 7 and Taka.
