It’s slower because the point of these systems is to make the surveillance industrial complex money by selling kiosks and software and support contracts, not to work better for anyone.

I had this in Copenhagen recently, took me 2 hours. Seems to be hit or miss whether you get through quick or not depending on the day/ time.

Because it isn’t fully operational. I have a whole video with hundreds of comments showing how each airport is different. Some have all the tech ready. Other barely use it. Some halfway use it. This isn’t working

Petrichor Problems :
I missed my connecting flight to Prague in Amsterdam because of this system. Didn't even get a passport stamp for the troubles 😔 I've traveled a lot the last year and my passport has nothing to show for it 😭😭😭

it was the same in Thailand the first year or two, because everyone has to do it. next year it will be less. of course its unfortunate for those travelling this year.

When I entered France, the system kept failing for more than one person. It took ages for a single person multiple attempts at multiple gates to get through, present company included.

I’ve been through Frankfurt twice in the last two weeks. I don’t get what the point of the biometric machines are if when I get to the immigration officers I have to do my fingerprints and picture again. And holy crap I don’t know if it’s the officer or the IT system that is slow but each person was taking 10 mins. The implementation of this has been horrendous
