There are some major inaccuracies here. Brian didn’t just simply write a letter, he signed an affidavit, which is swearing under oath that this was true. The penalties for this turning out to be a lie are HUGE and would be insane for any lawyer to do. Also Taylor’s team did NOT claim Brian’s statement about Blake’s extortion was untrue — and they are very quick to deny things. And Brian never represented Johnny Depp.

As a lawyer, I’m not going to subpoena records FROM ANOTHER ATTORNEY unless I have credible information there is something I need. The affidavit was in support of a subpoena to Taylor’s law firm. Please don’t speak on the U.S. legal system anymore. All misinformation about how it works is dangerous.
