And then, in a pathetic display of cowardice, we sit in the dark ruins of our own betrayal, crying out to the heavens, waiting for another hero to come and save us. But how many saviors must we send to the slaughterhouse? How many visionaries must we sacrifice to our own self-interest before we realize the devastating reality?
