1: to get minerals 2 birds don't have teeth so after they swallow seeds,or grains they lettle stone the gizzard act like teeth for grind and crush the food 🫰🏽

i see another 2 behavior.. if you look it carefully, the ostrich is feeding on Peebles easier digestion. and at same time lifting it's neck to spot predators. that's we call Feeding vigilance...I'm from Namibia 🇳🇦 a guide at Kwessi Dunes lodge, down the desert 🏜️

The rocks swallowed act like teeth,they travel to the muscular in the stomach called gizzard,the rocks rub against each other and crush tough food into tiny soft pieces .
