I agree po sa Bacolod. I grew up here for 32 years. No matter where I go, I always compare our food and I don't want to sound boastful, but nothing comes close to the Bacolodnon flavors 🩷

Residing in Bacolod but originally from Iloilo, I still find it funny how my taste buds have changed over time. When I first moved to Bacolod, I absolutely loved the food. Everything was so flavorful, rich, and satisfying. Every time I went back to Iloilo, I even felt like the food there lacked flavor. But after living here for years, something changed. As much as I still enjoy Bacolod food, I now find myself craving the simple, clean, umami flavors of Iloilo cuisine. There's something comforting about dishes that let the ingredients speak for themselves. I guess no matter where life takes you, your palate somehow finds its way back home. 💙
