My mother was also in the same situation as you when I was kid my father also hold my passport hostage when I was kid and I had no passport till I turned 18 I then was able to apply a new passport for myself without parental consent

Report the passport as lost and do fast track passport, it will cost money but its better then not going and losing 6k

Girl I work with a charity that’s called “support through court” if you contact us we can figure out what paper work is needed and help you fill it in as well for free. We do phone appointments if our offices are far from you

You could apply for a Child Arrangements Order stating that the children live with you. If the court makes a “live with” order, you can usually take the children abroad for holidays of up to 28 days without needing the other parent’s permission. 2. Alternatively, you could apply for a Specific Issue Order asking the court for permission to take the children on this holiday. The judge will make a decision based on what’s in the children’s best interests. you can take him to court and request an urgent hearing and he will be court ordered to give the passports over. also, I think the passports should be in the possession of the parent who has the kids more tbh for eg if that’s you you should keep the passports.
