The Bible teaches us not to marry a man who has these four behaviors. This can truly help you avoid years of tears and pain. Save this and share it with someone you love. Dear sister, please remember these words: Marriage does not change a person. What you tolerate today may become your greatest wound tomorrow. Before you say “I do,” look carefully at these five things. First: A man who lacks respect If he humiliates you, mocks you, or dismisses your opinions, this is a very serious warning sign. Respect is the “oxygen” of marriage. Without respect, you will suffocate and eventually break down. 1 Peter 3:7 (KJV) “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” Second: A man who cannot control his anger Do not only look at how he is when everything is going well. Look at his response under pressure, conflict, and arguments. A man who is easily angered may lose control, and even become violent. In that moment, what you will feel is not love, but fear. Proverbs 22:24 (KJV) “Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go.” Third: A man who does not fear God Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” A man without God, without spiritual restraint, easily loses boundaries, falls into disorder, and brings confusion and pain into the family. Fourth: A man who pulls you away from God God originally designed marriage to help each other and build a home that is blessed by Him. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” If a man leads you away from God, then that relationship is, in its essence, misaligned.
