I have a 12 almost 13 year-old and I’m about to go on star the seas. I’m hoping she will be able to go into the older club because I think she’s too old for the younger club but I still wanna track her. I think a tracking should be for everybody my mom‘s in her late 70s. I don’t wanna lose her either but yeah if I’m dropping my under 12-year-old kid off at the kids club, I should know where they are.

Honestly a big reason we don’t cruise is because of how the kids clubs are set up. 12 year olds have no business hanging out with 17 year olds. Also the fact they’re allowed to come and go at will is highly concerning. No I don’t trust a 17 year old boy to not lure my 13year old daughter back to his stateroom and take advantage of her. Plus teenagers aren’t exactly known for their good decision making skills. Parents should at least be given the option to allow their child to check in and out on their own or not

LOVED the medallion when we went on princess last year. It was phenomenal with having kids and the main reason I will continue to cruise with them. Sounds like RC is trying but missed the mark. Maybe once it’s implemented they’ll expand it after feedback!

I get lost on my way home from my local grocery store. My family needs this for ME!!! And as a family who travels a lot who lets their kids run free without at least a buddy system at that young an age.

As a mom of a 10, 14 and 16, my first thought is the latter! I would rather be able to find my older two, than my 10 year old! Maybe they think bc they’re likely to have a phone? But we don’t do the internet so that won’t work!! They need to update it for under 18!

I don’t think it’s about not knowing what your 3 to 12-year-olds are to me with a five and six-year-old I take it more as you can verify that they are where they’re supposed to be when you drop them off at the kids club more of a piece of mind.

Royal allows kids 9 and up to check themselves out of kids club. I said hell no! At 12, I was considering it with her 13yr old best friend on our upcoming trip. I was having problems with them going between our rooms with 1 room between. I will probably get it for her just to go between kids club and our room. However, I’d rather have it for the 13 yr olds parents as I always loose them.

It’s the teens that need this technology! I have a 16 year old who met friends on the sports court and was hanging out with him at night. He was the one who I would have gladly paid $15 for a wow band to track.

We absolutely love Princess medallion location! We have been cruising exclusively Princess for the last year and did an RCCCL cruise two weeks ago and realized we couldn’t find where anyone was located in our party of six. All of us are over 21. It was horrible! 🤭

Honestly, what about the kids being able to find the adults? Teenager (or even the 12 year old) finishes up at the teen/kid club and immediately checks where mom and dad are so they can join the family. Why not that too?

Our first cruise we temporarily lost my son who was 5 him and his 8yr old brother were kinda racing ahead back to the stateroom and he went to the wrong floor going down the stairs we had 4 adults looking for him thankfully another child found him and helped bring him back to us. We had security looking for him and everything it happened so quick. Needless to say security well and truely knew who he was on that cruise 🤦♀️thankfully only happened that once we didn’t let the boys go ahead after that

Definitely should be able to track teens. They are the ones with more freedom to roam and need tracked!!! Absolutely silly on Royal’s part.

I think this better suits parents who are split up from their kids for a brief activity. For example, me putting in work at the adult arcade and wanting to know what part of the ship hubby took them to. Chats in RC app are not the most reliable. I would love to try that medallion tech!
