Hey, I’m Charlie.👋 Reintroducing myself, since a lot of you are new here! I’m a 39-year-old farm girl who didn’t grow up with money. My dad left when I was 9. My mom had no job of her own, no savings, no degree, and two kids to raise. I watched her struggle for YEARS. I got my first job at 12 and put some of the money I made toward our bills. The rest I saved. Even as a little girl, I made myself a promise. I’d NEVER be financially dependent on anyone. I got the grades. Graduated top of my class. Climbed the corporate ladder. And I got obsessed with one question: How do I make my money work as hard as I do? Because I’m not working for some guy in a suit, asking permission to take an afternoon off, and sitting behind a desk for 10+ hours a day until I’m 65. ‘Scuse me but f$&@ that!! That’s when I started teaching myself how to invest. My portfolio went from $717 at the end of 2010 to over $550K today. And I’m on track to retire by 45 instead of 65. 🙌🏻 Not quick. Not sexy. But it works. And I’m stubborn enough to see it through. Last fall I started posting on TikTok, and started this Instagram page a little over a month ago. Not because I love being on camera (I’m an introvert who’d much rather be in the barn). I’m sharing what I know because if you don’t learn how to grow your money, you stay tied to a job you can’t walk away from. Just like my mom, you’re financially dependent on your salary and your time. I don’t want that for you.
