i had 6 weeks holiday a year....6 weeks,great,but i had to give them 12 months notice to take it and on one occasion i had to give the 18 months notice??....for a weeks leave.it was absolutely ridiculous.i would rather have had 3 weeks leave a year and take it at a week or two,s notice.

I got a 6 year manager fired for trying to retaliate against me for taking a day off that was approved for my MIL funeral and he tried writing me up then firing me over it so I filed a formal complaint against him with HR and then went to the labor board and filed a second complaint against the company…. Yeah he got fired

so I work at a warehouse with less than 20 people working there. and it's the weirdest warehouse I have ever worked for. we have a warehouse number that no one ever checks because management just uses their company cellphones. so if I want to take a day off, I call the warehouse line and leave a message just before midnight because midnight is the cut off time to call off or else lose a point. so when I return to work my bosses are ready to pull me into the office to question me about the no call no show then I just tell them to check the messages on the warehouse line
