A few tips: ✨ Face the window directly instead of sitting with the window behind you ✨ Large windows usually create softer light ✨ Overcast days often give better lighting than direct sunlight ✨ Try filming a few feet away from the window instead of directly against it 💡 Ring lights: They are great if: ✨ You film at night ✨ You don't have consistent natural light ✨ You create a lot of talking-head content A lot of creators assume they need the most expensive setup possible, but honestly even a basic ring light can make a huge difference. One thing to keep in mind: Because ring lights sit directly in front of your face, they can sometimes make your lighting look a little flatter compared to window light or side lighting setups. 📱 Selfie lights: These are honestly underrated. I especially like them for any time I’m filming on the go: ✨ Restaurants ✨ Hotels ✨ Events ✨ Cars ✨ Travel content ✨ Late-night filming They're small, easy to carry around, and can instantly make phone footage look cleaner in darker spaces. A lot of creators think they need a better camera when really they just need better light. And if you're just getting started, I honestly wouldn't stress about building a complicated setup right away. Start simple, test different lighting setups and pay attention to what makes YOU look and feel the most confident on camera!
