as a K-2 ASD teacher i wouldn’t recommend having that cart in the middle of the room with the projector 😅 tell your principal it’s a safety concern and they’ll mount it on the ceiling! also start by designated clear spaces/statioms around the room where students associate certain activities with each area (reading area, whole group area, independent work/ desk area, sensory area) ❤️

The projector cord has to go. You need a calm corner without toys. U need a small space where students can regulate when needed.

Setting up a classroom is simultaneously so fun and so stressful! If you need easy bookshelf covers, I bought table skirts on Amazon and cut them to size! The top part had velcro so I could attach them to the shelf easily. Happy teaching!

Make sure to tell your principal that the cart is a tripping/choking hazard for your students and they’ll have to mount it!!

I work in a self contained and I highly suggest asking for the projector to be mounted to the ceiling. I’m telling you, it won’t be left alone there. 😅
