@c5news: “There is no excuse for such vile behaviour.” A woman was almost blinded after being slashed in the face with a broken wine glass by her boyfriend’s ex. Georgina Kilburn was left covered in blood and needed more than 20 stitches to her face after being attacked by 21-year-old Jade Hill at The Closet, a nightclub in Weymouth, Dorset, in October 2024. A friend of Miss Kilburn’s who tried to intervene was also attacked by Hill with the stem of a broken wine glass and needed hospital treatment for injuries to their head and face. CCTV footage of the incident shows Hill abusing Miss Kilburn before smashing the glass into her face, causing shards of glass to fly in the air. The friend comes to Miss Kilburn’s rescue, but Hill then strikes at the, with the glass. The DJ stops playing ‘Sex on Fire’ by Kings of Leon at this point to call for security. Hill, from Portland, Dorset, has been jailed for four years and ten months. She has also been handed a five-year restraining order against both victims. Miss Kilburn has said: “There is no excuse for such vile behaviour, and I deserve the justice that has been served.” #5news #nightclub
