Shot on SONY ZV-E10 📸 ISO 800 | 24fps | Shutter Speed 1/50 Kit Lens 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 My Conclusion 1. S-Log3 The biggest issue with S-Log3 on the ZV-E10 is noise performance. In most of my indoor shots, the footage introduced a significant amount of noise, making it difficult to recommend for low-light or indoor environments. That said, S-Log3 offers the most flexibility in color grading, with a wide dynamic range and plenty of room for creative adjustments. One thing I noticed is that different ISO values can introduce noticeable hue shifts toward green or magenta, which can make matching shots more challenging. For the best results, try to maintain a consistent ISO throughout your shoot. 2. PP Off PP Off is a great option for a simpler workflow. Straight out of the camera, the colors look pleasing and require minimal grading. Noise levels are noticeably lower compared to S-Log3, making it more reliable in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. However, the image tends to look quite sharp digitally, which may not suit everyone’s taste. While color grading is still possible, it offers less flexibility compared to shooting in a log profile. 3. HLG BT.2020 In my experience, HLG BT.2020 delivers the best balance on the ZV-E10, especially for indoor shoots and controlled lighting environments. Skin tones appear natural, colors are subtle yet rich, and the footage grades beautifully without requiring heavy correction. The image also feels softer and more organic compared to PP Off, which helps create a more cinematic look.
