And someone is manipulating its spine and neck anyway. As a vet, videos like this genuinely worry me. Let's talk about what you're actually seeing here, because it's being sold as "treatment". Chiropractic is built around manipulating the spine and joints to correct so-called "misalignments". It's a human therapy carried across to animals, and in a cat, that leap deserves real scrutiny. The evidence base is very weak. There's little robust proof that this treats disease or reliably relieves pain in cats at all. And a cat is not a small human. Their spines are delicate and built differently, and forcing manipulation on a small feline neck or back carries a genuine risk of injury. Now add the distress you can see in this clip. A frightened, rigid cat being handled like this isn't being healed, it's being put through something it doesn't understand and clearly hates. But here's the part that worries me most. When a cat is stiff, reluctant to jump, or "not moving right", that's almost always a symptom of a real, often treatable problem: - Arthritis, hugely underdiagnosed in cats and very manageable. - An injury or soft-tissue pain. - Neurological problems. - Pain referred from something else entirely. Reaching for this instead of a vet risks masking those signs and delaying a proper diagnosis, while the real problem goes untreated. That's how a cat gets harmed twice, once by the missed condition, and again by being subjected to this. To be clear, this isn't a dismissal of all supportive care. Proper, evidence-based physiotherapy and rehab can help enormously, but it's led by, or done alongside, your vet, and built on an actual diagnosis. So if your cat is moving differently, please see your vet, not this. Get a diagnosis. Base treatment on evidence.
