Replying to @Jangus 🍚 Rice and Beef in the Rice Cooker Ingredients: • 1/3 cup white rice • Water (1:1 ratio with rice, or as preferred) • 2 tbsp soy sauce • 2 tbsp mirin • 1/2 tbsp sugar • Thinly sliced beef (as much as you like) • Optional: small cube of butter, corn, black sesame seeds, chopped green onion Instructions: 1. Wash the Rice • Add the rice to the rice cooker pot and rinse it thoroughly until the water runs mostly clear. 2. Add Water & Seasoning • Add water using a 1:1 ratio with the rice (adjust to your preference). • Pour in the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Stir gently to combine. 3. Add the Beef • Place thinly sliced beef evenly on top of the rice mixture. No need to stir — the beef will cook nicely on top. 4. Cook • Close the lid and start the rice cooker on a regular white rice cycle. Let it cook fully. 5. Finish & Serve • Once it’s done cooking, add a small cube of butter and mix everything together gently. • Optional toppings: Add corn, black sesame seeds, or chopped green onions for extra flavor and color.
