youth soccer programs in the US are pay to play. Parents can’t afford to pay for their kids to play after a certain level. Our professional teams miss out on so much talent because of that.

Sadly it’s not. As much as we want it to we are going to have to make fundamental changes to youth soccer in this country for it to actually happen.

They need to move high school soccer to spring, this will make more players play which will mean more talent to choose from for the international team

They need to make it affordable in America and throw a lot of money at it to develop the game. They never gonna compete with the elite football nations if only the rich kids play soccer. They leave so much talent on the table but hopefully the world cup changes that
