Replying to @o_c141 HERE'S HOW I ACHIEVED MY WEIGHT LOSS TRANSFORMATION IN 4 MONTHS Firstly, there's no limit to what the human body can achieve. Stop projecting your own impossibility onto others. When I told you I transformed my body in 4 months, I meant exactly that. A lot of people said it was impossible. Some said I was lying, while others claimed I must have been working out for almost a year. So I went back and dug out the very first video I recorded on March 5, 2025 when I first started. The dates are right there in the videos. I hope that finally settles the "it's impossible" conversation. Ironically, I never thought I had done anything extraordinary until I saw how many people doubted it. I still feel like I have a long way to go. To everyone who congratulated me, thank you. To everyone who doubted me, thank you too. You made me realize documenting the process was just as important as the result. How exactly did I achieve this? 1. The gym didn't do this. I only resumed the gym on June 10. Before then, I hadn't been consistent in a gym for over four years. My transformation started long before I stepped into a gym. 2. I started with one simple habit. On March 5, I committed to 10,000 steps daily. Before then, I had never exercised consistently. March was simply me building discipline. I completed about 21 days of walking. Most walks happened late at night because of my schedule. I'd get home exhausted, sleep late and snack before bed. I was moving more, but my recovery and eating habits slowed my progress. Even though, I noticed a bit of changes cos I started feeling lighter. That tiny result kept me going. 3. April changed everything. I stopped walking so late instead I started my walks early in the morning or earlier in the evenings. Note: my walls weren't the casual strolling. They were brisk walks, as recommended by WHO. a type of walking fast enough to raise your heart rate while still allowing you to talk. My route also had several inclines cos it was a sloppy road making it more challenging. so basically walking almost 21 days in the month of March built my endurance. April came, then I started running. First 3 km, then 5 km. Eventually I was running 3–5 times every week. I started running to lose weight, but eventually I fell in love with it. The biggest lesson I learnt was this: Don't build a routine just to lose weight. Build one you can enjoy for years. If it isn't sustainable, it won't last. That's why most stick to walking cos it is more sustainable, but if your goal is faster weight loss and you can do it safely, running burns more calories in less time. For me, a 30-minute run was easier to stay consistent with than a 2-hour walk. 4. My diet. I learnt about calories, but I never weighed my food or counted calories. I simply became intentional. I took out oil in my meals totally. If I cooked, I used no oil. If I bought food outside, I reduced my portions because I knew they contained more oil. I aimed for about 60% of every of my servings to be made of protein. I sticked to same meal for most mornings. I ate a moderate serving of rice with about 4 eggs, fish, vegetables and sometimes beans. I wasn't starving myself. Whenever I got hungry, I ate. I simply changed what I ate and how it was prepared. I completely cut out fried foods. My snacks became Greek yogurt, parfait, boiled eggs or fruits. Dinner was usually moi-moi, pap with moi-moi, or potatoes with eggs. I also avoided eating late. If I ate after 9 p.m., then I'd take a 10–15 minute brisk walk afterwards. My main protein sources were: • Eggs • Fish • Sardines (a good source of protein but I drain out the oil)• Crayfish • Stockfish I ate healthy foods I could consistently afford. And that's the biggest lesson from my journey: You don't need a perfect plan. You need one you can stick to.
