@michelle.vs.humanity: Green Boots from Everest 1996 disaster identity has now been confirmed in a DNA test. It’s not Tsewang Paljor. It’s actually Dorje Morup. They’re planning on retrieving his body this summer. #mounteverest #everest1996
I think everyone who climbs Everest knows that it might also be a place they don't leave. and they accept that risk.

It’s ok to risk people who make that choice for themselves. Their life. Up to them.

meh :
it's not ok. they knew the.risks. they stay with the mountain forever. unless their family wants to go themselves nobody needs to be trying to do this.

If people are going past him anyway then why can’t they just put him on a long sled thing and bring him down when they come anyway? They don’t need to have a seperate expedition to retrieve him

They’ve disturbed him once, why again? Let the man stay there and rest at this point

Bartoni :
There must be sections where they can sled down safely if it’s attached with ropes

When someone pays to remove the body. The avg cost is $80,000. It take 6-12 sherpas to do it.

My main question does the identity of the guy impact their decision to risk others lives to retrieve the body? Cause it kinda sounds like it but I hope that’s not the case

Is there not a window where bodies can be retrieved? Like when the weather is better with a helicopter?

why did they let peoole walk past his body was it a kind of boost to say you have to do it or this will be you? also who decides these things? and why have they decided to do a DNA test now and bring him home now ?🤔

He isn't the only one up there, lives shouldn't be risked to bring anyone back. Spencer Matthews has a brother that died up there in 1999, he went and looked for himself with a team of people. He brought back one of the sherpas bodies and it helped him find closure of what happened.
