@moreperfectunion: Texas police used Flock AI’s surveillance database to conduct a nationwide search for a woman who crossed state lines to get an abortion. Police originally told the media the query was part of a missing person search, but it was later revealed the probe was done to criminally investigate the woman’s abortion. While Texas law effectively bans all abortions within the state, Texas residents have the legal right to travel out of state to obtain an abortion. But according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Texas police may have broken laws in Washington and Illinois by using Flock’s nationwide database to conduct a search on an abortion seeker in states where the medical procedure is a protected human right.
