@grieveandbreathe: Grief isn’t something we get over. We process and manage it, sure. We even integrate the loss into our lives and continue to live but it doesn’t mean the lose loses its weight. They carry it well, but grief still shows up. Somedays it’s heavier than others. And somedays grief will let you know it too. Situations will come up in grief where we just feel emotionally heavy, and that just comes with grief. Some walk beside it, and allow it to walk with us. But it’s not something you get over. Years of love aren’t easily grieved in a short period of time, and there’s no timeline for grief. Now sure, there are some studies that’s show that most return to a baseline life after 6 months but no where does it shows they get over grief or it hurts less. It just means they’re body and brain have adapted to the loss. Don’t be so hasty to think your friends are just doing fantastic. It’s grief. Which means it’s heavy. #grief #grieftok #griefjourney #griefsupport #creatorsearchinsights
It’s been almost a month, it still felt like my dad left last week. Sometimes it feels real sometimes it feels like he’s gonna come home from work. It’s so hard. Everyone’s gone to their normal lives, mine felt like it stopped after he died. I’m heartbroken every single day.

Finding my mum on her bed still warm only just 9wks ago has me in all sorts of emotions. I was also the one taking care of all her business. My sister says oooh we must get on with life now - that’s a chapter of our life. Like WTF 😳 that’s insulting. I feel angry. Hurt - sad. I’ve only now had time to realise mums passed away - I’ve finished the business side of things for my beloved mum. 😭😭😭😔

But I don’t want to be crying all the time over cats that I’ve lost in the past three years
