my PTO policy was "as a courtesy let your coworkers know and if you can cover a shift that's awesome. if you can't just let me know the dates you're on PTO and I'll figure it out. it doesn't matter if everyone is off that day or not it's on me to figure it out."as the business director I've had to sit at one admin desk and our CEO sat at another because that was all we had. mental health clinic with 50ish clinicians and 10 admin staff. it should never be on the employee to worry about taking PTO.

What’s crazy is if you’re a Team Member that doesn’t mind burning bridges you are 100% not obligated to complete your 2-weeks notice. They still need to pay you out what you worked but you definitely don’t need to stick it through for management like this
