One thing that’s doesn’t make sense to me: When you leave the JWs or religion in general and your life is going great, they say, “That’s Satan distracting you.” But if your life falls apart? “That’s Satan attacking you.” So… which is it? Is Satan making my life better or worse? It can’t be both. 😂

We were told that they were hoping my husbands cancer diagnosis would bring him and me “back to god” and that even though they were ultimately glad he was recovering, they were hoping we would realize how much we needed god in that time. They were extra mad when I said “Well…we didn’t. We just needed his very competent and dedicated doctors.” 🙄😒

a colleague of mine asked me “but who do you pray to when you’re going through something?” i literally say i live through it. we all go through moments of sadness, happiness and all other human emotions. i don’t need to depend on God for my emotions to be regulated.

THIS! Certain individuals in my family are waiting on us deconstructed ones to fall short, so it can validate their delusions. I have literally had to tell some in my family “do not curse me”, when they try to make comments like “just wait and see”…. it’s sick.

I have made like 3 posts about deconstruction and they were personal, Christians will come out of the woodwork to tell me why I am wrong and how I was simply not a good Christian. I am so so grateful that I am no longer a part of that community!
