@ewysglowskincare: The Night "Gobe" Actually Lived Up To Its Name It’s funny to look back on this now, even though it was terrifying at the time. Back in 2008, I was in my 100-level at OOU. On Valentine’s Day, there was a big party on campus called "Gobe Night." My cousin, Stupor, took me along, and we spent hours sitting at a building across from Babbies Hall, waiting for the guest artists, X Project, to perform. By midnight, everything changed. Suddenly, the music stopped and all the lights went out. I thought it was part of the show, but then everything went crazy. Bottles started flying out of nowhere. It was pure chaos. Stupor and I took off running as fast as we could. We didn't stop until we reached the fence of his hostel at Bobo Hall. I still remember the craziest part: students were actually grabbing chairs from Belle’s Bar and holding them over their heads to block the bottles. That night taught me a quick lesson about university life: when things turn bad, they happen fast. The organizers named the event "Gobe Night," and they weren't joking—it was real gobe. I still can't listen to an X Project song today without remembering how we ran for our lives.
