Doctors are trained to pick up on signs of body dysmorphia. A good surgeon will turn someone down if they think they have body dysmorphia. I actually had a plastic surgeon turn me away once when I thought I needed implants.

I am skinny and have body dismorphia—and no plastic surgery. Plastic surgery can be so healing both physically and psychologically. Sexism always frames it as a problem 😬😬😬
