I have seen this natural protection of wood in many older places in europe. Best was a 700 year old untreated-wood tavern in the austrian mountains ❤️❤️❤️talk about frugal🥰

We do leave local timber in Australia to whether and it reacts just like their pine. Local timber to an area whethers the same.

They don’t have to protect the wood as much since winters are long and dark summers have long days but the temperature is not blistering hot
