@mikylameckelson_: 4 unhinged things i’ve done while traveling with my disabled chihuahua in the outer banks this week: - clipped his harness into the tree so he was safe from other dogs and could rest peacefully - spent $37 on organic grass fed burgers for his dinner because i don’t want him to eat processed garbage - clean the diarrhea off of us both in the public pool outdoor showers at about 3am - gave him water out of a giant shell i found on the beach because i lost his water bowl somewhere - put him inside the gas stations beer fridge for a minute because it was so freaking hot and he needed to cool off. traveling with a dog is already tough, then you add in special needs and dammmmnnn i’m not gonna sugar coat it, it’s hard. and it’s beautiful. people always come up to us and share pictures of their old pet, stories, even tears and their grief about loosing their favorite pet… it’s honestly so heart warming. so, if you have an elderly or disabled pet, but still want to travel and have epic adventures - you’re in the right place. coop and i are excited to share more so hit follow and stick around if that’s your sort of thing! #outerbanks #chihuahuastiktok #traveldog #seniordog #disableddog
