The thing is, the separatist movement without the manipulations, from sidious and dooku had legitimate reasons and were right to choose to leave the republic. the republic at that point was just a colossal corrupt regime, with corruption from the lowest to the highest levels of it. They didn't care about the mid or outer of rims, so long as they had nice enjoyable lives in the core worlds.The suffering of those beyond did not matter.So long as they got their credits. and the jedi are just as guilty of this time and time again. The Jedi intervened in matters that were caused and made worse by the very corruption of the republic. The jedi went from the protectors of the people of the galaxy to the enforcers of a corrupt government. in both the legends and the new cannon, we see countless examples of the corruption and exploitation of the republic government of those they were meant to protect and represent. i truly believe had it not been for the jedi, acting as the republics enforcers the republic would have faced open rebellion or fallen and collapsed long ago
