This is where the Concept Art and Character Designs are born, defining the entire visual identity of the show. 2️⃣ Storyboarding (The Comic Book of Film) 🎨 The director creates the Storyboard (Econte). This is a rough, scene-by-scene sketch of the entire episode. It dictates the camera angles, character movements, timing, and dialogue. Think of it as the ultimate guide for the animators. 3️⃣ Layout & Animation (Bringing it to Life) ✏️ Key Animation (Genga): Senior animators draw the essential frames of a movement (the start, the middle, and the end). In-Between Animation (Doga): Junior animators fill in the gaps between the keyframes to make the motion smooth and fluid. Digital Painting & Backgrounds: The line art is scanned, colored digitally, and placed over beautifully painted backgrounds. 4️⃣ Post-Production (The Final Polish) 🎧 This is where the magic truly comes together.
