Here’s what I’m doing different this 2026✨ As a new nurse immigrant, I’ve spent so much time mentally obsessing over work — how to earn more, how to settle in, how to build a life here. And somewhere along the way, I realized… I forgot to actually live. So this year, I’m doing things a little differently. 1️⃣ Live more in the present Stop rushing moments that are meant to be felt. Go to the gym. Slow down. Clean my room. Have a walk. Sit and have real conversations with friends and family. Life isn’t just about productivity. 2️⃣ Stop overthinking Not everything needs an answer right now. I don’t need my whole life figured out. I’m starting over in a new place — and I trust that God will provide, just like He always has. 3️⃣ Be more grateful There’s always something to thank God for, even in setbacks. One of my favorite verses Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” 4️⃣ Forgive yourself for setbacks You don’t learn without messing up. Growth requires grace — especially toward yourself. Be kind to who you’re becoming. Sometimes the Lord allows you to run through obstacles because he wants to redirect you to a different path. Proverbs 16:9 (ESV) states, “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps 5️⃣ Be an instrument of God’s love Instead of seeing work as a chore, I want to show up as a bedside nurse who reflects God’s love to patients, even in small ways. It is a privilege to be able to care for patients and get compensated for it. May I remind myself that being a nurse is one of the most noble professions out there 6️⃣ Enjoy the small things A good night’s rest. A proper meal. Making it home safely after a night shift. These moments matter — and I want to notice them more. ✨ I’m hoping 2026 is more intentional — for my mental health, my faith, and my overall joy. I have a good feeling about this year. 🙏 💬 Which rule are you bringing into 2026? Drop the in the comments #nurses #nursinglife #nursesofinstagram #bible #inspiration
