ummm shouldn't you clean the slides and pins and put a small bit of silicone lube on them so the pads slide back and forth easier and wear even? Been out of the field for 25 years but did it for 30 years. as far as the rotors go you can machine them as long as they don't go below specs. that being said today rotors are not that expensive to replace.

brake pads and rotors are easy to change, however it certainly takes longer than a minute, 5 minutes to find your Jack, 5 minutes to figure out how your Jack works, 15 minutes to undo the bolts 10 minutes to get the rotor to loosen one minute to put the new Rover on 5 minutes to change both pads, 10 minutes to reassemble

Ya, on my 2026 Ford F150 Lariat. You need a computer to put the truck into "Service Mode" then you need to scan the barcode on Ford Authenticator and tell the truck that the pad are Ford Authentic so it accepts them and rests the system. Basically only the dealership can do it. Some mechanics can bypass it, not no back yard mechanic could do it in the driveway anymore on the modern vehicles.

you might want to have your brake rotors turn/grind it's best if you open your master cylinder so it makes it easier to push the pistons back ,plus all the pressure goes up...

always break bleeder loose before pushing piston back. don't put the dirty rusty fluid though your abs system.

I have not seen a brake pad that you never had not take it apart to put the pads out like that.
