The return of the Lord Jesus is closer than many people think. We are living in the last days. This is not fearmongering, and it is not exaggeration. It is in line with what the Bible teaches. First, those who believe in God will face increasing persecution. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 24 that those who follow Him would be hated for His name’s sake. Today, those who truly hold to biblical truth are more and more easily mocked, rejected, and attacked. In some places, churches are restricted, and Christians are persecuted. Some people are simply standing for God’s word, yet the world sees them as unacceptable. This is not a coincidence. It is a sign the Lord spoke of long ago. Second, spiritual deception will increase. The Lord Jesus also warned that in the last days false prophets would rise and deceive many. Today, the gospel is being used by some as a formula for success and wealth, but very few still tell people to repent, leave sin, obey God, and prepare for the return of the Lord. When truth is no longer placed first, deception begins to enter people’s hearts. Third, people’s hearts will become more fearful because of the shaking of the world. People today are uneasy about the future, afraid of disasters, and less and less secure because of the changes happening in the world. Luke 21:26 (KJV) says: “Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” This is not ordinary sadness or emotional weakness. When the world becomes more and more chaotic, people’s hearts begin to be gripped by fear. God allows these signs to appear not so we would live in fear, but so we would be awakened. The Lord Jesus is coming soon. You cannot keep living carelessly, only focused on work, family, money, and comfort, while putting God aside. If you see these things and your heart is still touched, it means God is still reminding you. But what is truly frightening is when people have already seen the signs and still do not care.
