yes! so interesting! I saw another clip that was probably from the same video where he was complaining about how the church is focusing on the people on the fringes or are struggling too much. He really does make it so clear that he just wants a strong identity that he can rally around

One of my realizations that lead to my “deconstruction” (I was raised in the RLDS church and its splinter groups) was that being a persecuted minority was essentially a central tenet of the faith. Without that, we really couldn’t figure out what we had to offer that was unique or inspiring.

God created humans but on the surface we're not all equal we all have failures faults sins some you could probably say more than others if we use scripture as our baseline because we don't really have any other baseline and the one you're trying to create makes just creating humans all equal no matter what and that's false.
